A specialist provision in the centre of Halifax providing Dyslexia Assessments, Specialist Tutoring and Therapeutic Education for children, young people and adults in West Yorkshire and beyond.

We work with families, carers, schools, colleges and universities to provide detailed diagnostic assessments, access arrangements and consultation for learners and teachers.

Offering in person and remote assessments, and specialist tuition using online platforms our services are accessible all around the country.

Our Services

KMH Dyslexia services are used by a wide range of individuals and organisations who are seeking a diagnostic assessment, have dyslexia themselves or work with people who have a specific learning difficulty. We work with:

  • Anyone wanting a dyslexia assessment or specialist tuition.

  • Parents and carers who want to know more about supporting their child at home and school.

  • Teachers, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCo’s) and schools and colleges who require specialist learning assessments, intervention programs and staff development sessions.

  • Employers wanting to support their employees by providing workplaces assessments to make necessary adjustments or provide employees with coaching or assistive technology. KMH Dyslexia services can support employers to ensure they are meeting their legal obligations under equality legislation (e.g. UK’s Equality Act 2010).

  • Students who are moving from college to university and need a further assessment or re-evaluation and updated assessment of their learning learnings.

  • Families and carers who are wanting specialist, therapeutically informed tuition and education services to support their child survive and thrive in formal education.
